Ivoclar's ceramic system is the industry standard for pressed all porcelain jacket crowns,
inlays/onlays and veneers. This second generation of Ivoclar's system now also offers the
possibility to fabricate all-ceramic bridges (3-unit bridges, from 1st premolar to 1st
premolar). The lithium disilicate framework ceramic and the fluorapatite layering ceramic
permit the fabrication of bridges that demonstrate properties similar to those of natural
teeth. IPS Empress 2 restorations also may now be conventionally cemented.
